sucks trek I think i'll reveal my little modification to the ness SA strat now then Airdodge to the left immediately after hitting the 2 left frames... That's it. Improves the strat alot. I imagine it will help with some other characters too. Samus probably falls too slow for it though so with her i'll keep going with my missile strat Thanks Stelzig. That's kind of what I did for my score, except I just DI left and fall down and hope the bottom frame jumps up so I can KO it. If it doesn't I usually get hit. >_>

DI left doesn't work as well as airdodge because you have to jump earlier in order to avoid the bottom frame from reach you in her jump. And when you jump earlier there's a bigger chance that the left frames will hit you ;p

SW has a lot of WRs. Do you even care when you get a new one? I do when I get a good one, but that Pika WR has bothered me more than making me happy, because it could have easily been 4k I don`t get why noone does my left platform strat^^ the top frame hits me only about 1/100 of the time Edit: Phazon, my Zelda score is 2610, not 2601 (what a differenz >__>)

He`s at 9500 atm. its pretty hopeless for me to get him again I`ll go for Peach WR and then endless is probably done for a while. (Well, maybe 4k Falco, dunno yet ) Peach 1786 tzzzzzzzz died with 110%

No it's not hopeless SW. We're going for 100K Most characters can hit 4K (I would imagine bowser and mewtwo causing the most trouble for me) so don't give up

*thread invasion*
yeah I'm at about 11402 or 11411 right now (depending on how well I counted) with 143% and going to leave it on overnight for the 2nd night in a row
I'm probably never gonna play ICs again just because of how long and ridiculously boring it is.
I'm getting back into EM this summer probably since I have nothing to do (going to college next year) and I need a job >_>
Oh yeah I lost all of my data about a week ago so my total is only calculated. So if anyone ever sees any recent endless videos, notice that my total shown in game is significantly lower than my real one (and also a bunch of missing characters >_>)

*counts Peach death number 4 @ 17xx* 3 of those runs I had like 130% and hit a bomb, and on 1 run with 70% she didn`t grab the edge........ Peach = gay <____<

I hope you're making a vid PYh. I don't think we have a MMM vid where we reach 9999 and the counter stops.

He got 12,713 KOs, bringing his total up to 71k. I wonder if he stopped there out of boredom? I would think that it would get boring after 9999 KOs because the counter doesnt continue so you cant see what you have, which is kind of discouraging. I bet he could have got 20k if he wanted to.

Perhaps he will try to bring his total to 100k? Making it just about impossible for anyone to pass him.

He got bombed r1k With 16x or 17x%. I would like to know if he just used SA strat because to me it seems like you could just stand under the platform and UpSmash the frames. But maybe that makes the upperleft smart frame get more pokeballs or something?

I had a thought. Is it possible for Ness to get star jacket in EM? If so you could just leave him standing in one spot and the KOs would keep rising until you get a really high score =)

Hmm. Star jacket? Never heard of that one before. I suppose it is a glitch that has something to do with PK storm? Sounds very interesting Phazon. Could probably work if you can still move around so you can hinder smart frames from picking up pokeballs TO THE SMASHWIKI!!! *looks up star jacket* brb

It's when Ness always has the priority of pk-thunder, when he hits himself. So unless an attack can out-prioritize Ness' up-b he can't be killed by the frames. You may wish to keep an eye out of smart frames and bombs though.

Hmm. Well i'm not sure the yoyo glitch can be done on frames since even the charge hit knocks them away. Does it have to hold it and strike it later? If it does then maybe it can work on a party ball or something
|
|
|
Post by Phazon on Jun 25, 2007 7:05:54 GMT -5
I thought that the star jacket could only be removed when you get hit or die. Since the EM frames are so weak I figured they couldn't out-prioritize the star jacket and would continue to die.

Yeah. But the "how to do it" explanation says: 1.Use Ness' up smash and hit any opponent or destructible part of the stage with the outreaching part of the yoyo. Charge the yoyo very slightly before releasing. 2.Make sure that, after the yoyo is released into its upward swing, it doesn't hit anything else. To me it sounds like it is supposed to be hit after being charged, but i'm not sure =/ Edit: Or actually now that i read #2 closer it says it cannot hit anything after the release. I guess that means that you are actually supposed to not hit the target anymore after releasing it. That should make it extra easy to perform on wireframes

I would think that it would get boring after 9999 KOs because the counter doesnt continue so you cant see what you have, which is kind of discouraging. I bet he could have got 20k if he wanted to. The entire run was boring from the start. I also kept a count on paper after 9999 (number of sets of 9 I killed), but apparently I was off by about 80. I probably missed a few because I was just half paying attention. At that point the pattern had become almost second nature. I would like to know if he just used SA strat because to me it seems like you could just stand under the platform and UpSmash the frames. But maybe that makes the upperleft smart frame get more pokeballs or something? Trust me, that's what people originally thought you could do. Unfortunately, there are more problems that you think, and there are still 4 frames going after you. Sometimes you miss the up smash and you'll get hit MUCH more often than if you had used an SA. I think the best anyone's ever done with up smashing is House of Anchors with 2848.
