I've been browsing the forums for about a week now. I've noticed that most of you play BtT a lot. However your HRC skills...leave much to be desired. So therefore, I am setting up a service for all HRC players, novice and expert alike, so I can help you guys get better at HRC. Simply fire away your questions! Your skill level doesn't matter, as long as it's not above mine! (BTW my total's 112000, dont mean to brag but that's really good). If you want to see videos of the pros, you can go to www.smashvids.be . It WILL give you an HRCgasm. A couple rules: 1: Do not spam. It's okay if you ask multiple questions or if you simply don't understand what I'm saying. Just don't double or triple post about it. Don't post saying "LEIK OMG U GUYS R TEH_PWNZZZZORRZZZ!!!!!111!!!!". 2: You can post videos, but host them on a site that streams, such as video.google.com or www.youtube.com. 3: Please do not redirect people to SSkeeto's hrc guide. Although it is helpful, having an actual human being to help you is better. If you want to see his guide to get familiarized with HRC, go to www.folderol.net/HRCguide.php . However, once you have gotten to a novice level of HRC, you might want to ask me questions, as SSkeeto's guide is somewhat out of date. IE, he has not updated the strats in a while. 4: Don't post simply asking for a strat. You need to first give me an estimation of your current score, and then ask for a strat that will get the distance you desire. You might say "my yoshi score is only 2800. Can you help me get yoshi 3000?" 5: Utilize this tutoring service to the best of your needs!

i'm trying to get 2,000 feet with DK, so far i have only 1,946 any help? Yup, I'll help you! 1: Grab the bat. 2: B-Forward. It should pound the sandbag into the ground. 3: Throw the bat at the sandbag twice, catching it with the A button in between. 4: After the bag recovers from the b-forward, it should pop up out of the ground. Double jump up, drop the bat, and do a bat drop down air* 5: When you reach the ground, immediately do a B-forward. Now, pick up the bat, and throw it at the sandbag three times, catching it with A in between** 6: jump backwards, catch the bat, and when you land, swing. the bag should be at around 160%*** *You might have trouble with this bat drop. If the dair consistently hits before the bat, you need to (A) drop the bat sooner or (B) do the dair later. **On the last throw, make sure you use a down throw. It does more damage. *** Make sure you get a tipper. If you get anything less than a tipper, you'll get a no-ping hit, which (A) would not help you anyway at this damage, and (B) DK's no ping hit is far worse than his tipper. Now, as for the kirby bat drop question. Kirby bat drops are kinda hard. What you have to do is drop the bat over the sandbag, do the down air, then hold away from the sandbag. You see, only the last hit of the dair pushes it away. So if you are far away from the bag, it won't hit it. Again, this bat drop is a little advanced, you might not want to bother with it yet.

Oook. 1:Grab the bat, dash to the sandbag. 2: double jump, drop the bat, and fastfall. When you're about to hit the ground, press up and A. This should be a bat drop up+A. 3: Now do five bat drop down air combos. 4 of them should be jjc. By jjc i mean, you jump, jump, catch the bat, drop the bat, and press down+A. One of them can be jcj, or jump, catch, jump, drop, down A. 4: Now do a d-tilt. It should pop the bag in the air a little bit. 5: Pick up the bat, walk out to tipper or at least mid hit range, and swing. If this doesn't make sense, I'll upload a video for you if you want me to.

How do I do Samus' bomb + bat drop combos? It's a tiny bit complicated. First run at the sandbag. Run so that samus is kinda "inside" the bag. If you were to stop at this point, the bag would move to the side. But if you drop two bombs at this point, you'll deal 14% damage. And since the explosions push samus up, you'll be able to do a bat drop from there.

Awsome thread. =) I read SSkeeto's hrc guide, but I still don't understand how to do Roy's strong ada bat drops. Advice? Tips? Ooh. These are a bit tough. It's pretty easy to do them slowly. Simply walk up to the bag, turn around, and double jump, drop the bat, and do the down A. It should make a slice sound instead of the normal whack sound. It should deal around 25-27 damage. Now, just jump catch the bat, double jump, drop the bat, and down air. But at a low level, it's still better just to do forwards facing single bat drops fast instead of backwards facing ones slow. If you're at a high level, and want to do them fast, I can help too. 1: In the beginning, you have to double jump to the sandbag from the starting position and do the bat drop down +A. This is pretty tough, but you'll get used to it. This is the least of your troubles. 2: JCJ bat drops aren't that hard. But they're slow. So why not use JJC bat drops? Well they're shorter, but they're much harder. My only advice is to pick up the bat as soon as you can in the jump. 3: what buttons do you use to jump? If you're going for 4000, it's best to just do with whatever you feel like. But in the 5000 strat, you want to jump with the stick and X/Y because (A) it lets you jump faster after the l-cancel, and (B) the double jump will be shorter. Hope that helped!

I have 7.9k ganon. Any strats to get 8-9k? Grab the bat, run to the bag and do an upsmash. Double jump to the right side of the sandbag and do a dair to spike the bag down. Now turn around, do 5 bat drops, and a reverse warlock punch. UDIKKU. You need to improve GAW. This is what I think is the secret: you need to use the stick to jump. It lets you buffer the jump. That means that you jump right when you can. So if you do that, you sohuld be able to do 9 bat drops, and then a bat drop # 9. And yea, you need to improve your peach score >.<

I tried it for some time long time ago and I did it till the end for a few times. I just didn't get that 9 hammer. I jump with Y. I find stickjumping very hard to do.

Indeed, I found it harder and slower at first. However, you're going to have to get used to it. Because I couldn't get samus 4000 without stick jumping. And I found it almost impossible to get GAW 5000 without stick jumping. You don't have to stick jump every BD with every character. You should with samus, GAW, yoshi, C-falcon, and Fox's singles.

Why Yoshi? I'm pretty satisfied for my yoshi. I could get few more %, but I think my yoshi is pretty good. I've got 4.4k with pal yoshi and that's fine for me.

if you learn to use tilts during vs, you never really need to use control stick to jump <_<, your hand tightens up to make as little movement as possible.

I meant that it's best to stick jump with yoshi's bat drop. I didn't say that you should improve it. o.o; Your yoshi score is great, especially since it's PAL.

I have kirby 1488 ft. Can I get a 1.6-2k strat? I've got two strats for you. 1: Grab bat, dash to bat, and do an upsmash. It should hit with the tip of kirby's feet, dealing 12% damage. 2: Now do 4 jcj bat drop down As. 3: tippa, this should get around 1600 if maxed reasonably. 1: Grab the bat, dash to the bag. 2: Do 5 BD dairs. 3: Tippa, this should get around 2000 if maxed reasonably.
