it doesn't mean that he has a better total that he's better than marth1
like for example, joebushman is much better than me, but look at our THS xD

I think that's a little different jerry edit: also, I don't know if you like people to correct your english... if you don't I won't ever again. this is the correct sentence: That he has a better total doesn't mean he is better than marth1. Anyways, you guys are both Gods of stadium.

Zampa is better than marth1 in btt...>_> I would like to end this now. (or at least attempt) Zampa is very good, but he isn't better than marth1. I know he provided the Falco strategy and has a better total. (I don't fully consider Roy his because we've all had flipper strategies. So his credit is for being the first person to actually use one) I know this may seem like a lot, but we also have to consider what marth1 has given the community. Every few months he would release a new batch of videos. Players from all over the Internet would download his videos for one reason- there was almost always a new strategy in the new batch of videos. this may sound weird, but you can't simply weigh Zampa's best total/Falco strategy to marth1's three year reign and multiple new strategies. Being the best doesn't necessarily mean you have the best total. Example that does not glorify marth1: Packattack, Super Monkey Ball Guru. If someone beats his overall total due to a lack of him playing, that doesn't make the other player better. It simply makes them have a better total.

packattack is the gaming guru. Give him a game and he will become #1 in it >_> I heard he was quite bad at smash though

Zampa and marth1 are the same person

The only reason zampa got his total significantly passed marth1's is because marth1 didn't bring his gamecube with him over the month-long semester break. He also hasn't played much since he got it back. If you think zampa is better at btt, it's pretty evident you haven't been around for much of marth1's reign.

marth1 is the best BtTer in the same respect that Rav is the best 10mmer. Both of them got their respective modes to where they are today, created a lage majority of the strats, etc, and no matter who ever passes them, they will always be the best.

it's fun to see how the stadium community is more conservative than the vs. community, where everyone seems to have abandoned Ken. Here people seem to be putting marth1, rav, and sin on a pedestal.
I don't know why that is, and I don't know if one of the two ways is false.

Umm. Ken is still constantly creditted for having created marths metagame, but other people are currently executing it better because of kens inactivity. It's the same situation here.

so because there will be 5 topics for btt... I guess it should be 5 different person creating the topics? If so, I would say:
marth1 Zampa mudi
those 3 for sure... then 2 others... those I'm not sure...
demon9 LDA?
I would've say SIGN, but I think she's not on the forum...

jerry3333: I'm thinking we'll be fine with one thread, but that's just me. I'm also going to have to vote for marth1 as the best BtT player out there, by far.

I think Zampa is way too rare on this forum to make this topic.
But I think 5 topics should be there, or at least 3...but PLEASE with the character order I mentioned in the hrc threat a few days ago >__>

The people that make the topics should be atleast semi-dedicated to updating them every once in a while. Since mods already have updating powers, it would be pointless imo for a mod to make a topic.

It doesn't have to be a really BtT player. It should just be someone active and knowledgeable, and at least plays the mode really.
It's also not really a big deal if we need to switch topic creators sometime. Just close the old one, make a new one, and the old topic isn't gonna get purged or anything.

I would suggest to give some topics to players that have already influenced SSBB BtT by the time the game is released in the US, we are pretty knowledgeable in the mode right from the start.
And the lack of an overall high score means that there's no reason not to seperate the 5 difficulties. 35 Characters is plenty as is.

We all love Tini, but Tini isn't even registered on smashvids so there's no point. marth1 and Zampa, however, are. As is STC.

Why don't the topics go to the five most active people without editing powers? It'll allow topics to be updated by at least some if no moderators are around to handle it. (This allows even more people to be able to edit it in the long run) Some good candidates are LLCo0lDave (He hasn't been around Smashvids for very long, but he's quite active and knows a lot about the game) and Jerry3333. They're both here a lot and have compitent computers to get it done. (Not sure about Dave, so I'm being a bit presumptuous here)
Anyways. *goes to update Target Smash*
