The newer updates that come with modern games/from Nintendo's online update feature block things like Action Replay and freeloaders. They screw you into using these because the game's opening sequence (You know... those small ones right after you enter the Disc channel.) needs some new software to run. <_<
It's very lame, but Nintendo is one crafty company.

I'm sure it does, but I wouldn't spend any money on it. All Nintendo has to do is release another update to obliterate these mod chips.

www.nintendo-master.com/xtnews/news-12817.htmIt's in french, but if anyone has a website to translate... anyway, the main idea is that it is (was?) only a rumour that it was going to be release in June 2008... and they say why, so yeah, someone, give a website to translate

There is a modchip that can actually be updated using wiiconnect24, and it can work around those software updates sent to the wii when putting in the game the first time (IIRC you actually just have to update the wii just before putting in the game to avoid it in general). I forgot what this mod was called though. I'll come back to you if i can find it again sw Edit: Heh. Found it in less than a minute It's called a wiikey.
