Today I tried to log on only to automatically get redirected to adbaaz.com, some nonsense advertisement spyware-like website. I've been troubleshooting for several hours and narrowed down the problem to something called the "adverlets script".
Apparently there was some advertising company called adverlets whose domain expired a few days ago, and this is causing websites with this script to redirect to adbaaz.com. Tech support websites say to just remove the script to fix the problem.
I'm not sure what this means though. Is the script something on my own computer? Or is it something contained on this forum? LDA says this problem isn't affecting him, but it affects me when I use either Firefox or IE. This is also the first time I've ever had a negative incident with Firefox.
btw, the reason I'm able to access this board and post this is because it ONLY redirects from the main forum page (also the login page).
edit:
It appears that this forum contains ads sponsored by adverlets, and all that has to be done is remove these ads from the site.

Stelzig and I are awesome. ^_^
Which Web Browser do you use? I use Opera. I have evetything blocked. There is something new that I just noticed, though. In the URL, there's a greyish box with a question mark in it that's only on Smashvids. I'm afraid to click it since it may trigger the unwanted website. (I can get pictures to show this greyish question mark box if anyone wants them)

I use firefox. You guys that aren't having this problem likely have some sort of ad blocker in place. I'm gonna mess with my ad blocker for a while and see if I can find a fix.
edit: only took about a minute to fix, if you have an adblocker, go to the main page and hit "stop" to prevent redirecting, then access your adblocker and block the suspicious script.
Nonetheless, I think PYh should really look into this and find a fix to eliminate this problem for all users.

OK, I managed to find the pesky script and I got rid of it. I believe it should be working fine now.

Before you removed that script or whatever the Home page for the forum was taking about 10 minute sto load up for me. I wasn't being re-directed or anything though.
